The spirituality of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary has an
Ignatian affiliation, with some specific aspects given by the
inspiration and experience of our founders.
Ignatian spirituality is a spirituality of prayer and discernment leading us to become contemplatives in mission, always seeking the Father's will so our life and work is oriented to the greater glory of God through the experience of living the MAGIS as a permanent attitude, in loving service to others in communion with the Church.
It is a spirituality that springs from the experience of intimacy with God in the Spiritual Exercises. We seek to regulate our lives, in the light of the Word, directed toward one's passionate commitment to the Kingdom following the example of Jesus and the Virgin Mary who knew how to find God in everything and everything in God.
This spirituality is enriched by elements given by our founders: Love for the Eucharist and adherence to the Hearts of Jesus and Mary as an ongoing invitation to shape our lives according to their sentiments.
This implies that from contemplative prayer and the experience of ongoing discernment, our thoughts, feelings, desires and actions are shaped according to the sentiments of Jesus and Mary, in order to present the merciful love of God within the heart of the world.
Our name Daughters of the Heart of Mary reminds us “that the Virgin Mary who was given over totally to the person and work of Her Son, is the model of our love for Christ" and for humanity. (Const. No. 1). It is typical of our spirituality to love the Blessed Virgin, to honor and make her loved.

DRIVEN BY THE SPIRIT, THE DAUGHTERS HEART OF MARY
ARE WOMEN OF THE 21st CENTURY SENT ON MISSION
Doc. C.G. 2011
The Daughters of the Heart of Mary are called to be a sign of joy, hope and communion in the midst of human realities. Living the Spirit of Jesus is to live with Mary a spirituality of communion in the Church. The Church built on Peter is the Church of Christ. “There is no belonging to the Church of Jesus Christ without belonging to the Church built on Peter,” says Father de Clorivière.
Mary is our Mother and model in following Jesus. She shows us the way of life in the Spirit in everyday life, in a simple life.
In Mary is found the grace of the way, because she knows the source: she is the channel through which the Lord sends down His graces to us, the spiritual vessel where we receive all grace.
Father de Clorivière sees the Heart of Mary as an apostolic source oriented towards service, engaged in the mission of the Son and strengthening interiors: the Heart of Mary is for us a valuable source, a home of charity and channel of mercy.
