Daughters of the Heart of Mary (DHM). It is a religious society of Pontifical right, founded in France in 1791 during the French Revolution.
FOUNDERS:
Pierre Joseph de Clorivière, a Jesuit priest, and Marie Adélaïde de Cicé, a lady of French nobility.
MOTTO: "One Heart and One Soul"
The Daughters of the Heart of Mary are called to "Form one heart and one soul", by a deeper union with Christ, an authentic fraternal and generous commitment to serve those most in need with the vigor and energy of the emerging church.
PURPOSE:
Constantly striving for the glory of God in service to humanity by working for the Kingdom in communion with the Church.

FIRST PONTIFICAL APPROVAL:
On January 19, 1801, the Society of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary received verbal approval from Pope Pius VII. (Const. p.87. Approvals of the Church).
On April 24, 1857, Pope Pius IX approved and confirmed definitively, by decree, the Society of the Daughters of the Heart of Mary.
CHARACTERISTICS
Since its inception, our Society has had no or any external distinctive sign, thus allowing us to live embedded in all environments, being a cordial presence, like Mary, in the midst of the world, united by prayer and fellowship.
